Here you have several options, from Betting on a team to
win by or lose by less than a specified number, betting on
a games total score to go over or under a specified number,
or betting on a team to just win the game.
1 Money line and service charges
When wagering on sports the first thing you need to know
is the "Juice" or "Vig" which is a service
fee charged by anyplace you want to bet on sports. The difference
between us and the rest is that our service fee is exactly
half of all the other places. You can identify the service
fee by how much they charge you to bet $100. Here you will
risk $105 to win $100 as apposed to other places that will
charge you $110 if you lose your bet. This amount is essentially
a percentage which is 5% with us and 10% every where else,
so for starters you're saving 50% of the service fee making
wagering very close to service fee free. You can always identify
the number in the form of a -110 or in our case a -105. Whenever
you see a - in front of a number, that is the amount you have
to risk in order to win $100 and if you ever see a + that
is the amount you will win based on a $100 wager. This is
also the way you would wager on a money line in a game. The
money line let's you chose the team you want to only win the
game, nothing else. If it's a - you will lose that amount
based on a $100 bet. If it's a plus that is how much you will
win based on a $100 bet. All these amounts are adjusted to
your wager amount; you never have to wager $100. E.g. if a
game is +150 you do not HAVE to wager $100 to win 150 you
can bet $10 to win $15 or $20 to win $30.
2 Point spread
When you wager on the point spread you are wagering that
your team will win by X amount of points or not lose by more
than X amount of points. You can tell the difference again
by the + or the -. If the spead you bet is -6 you would need
your team to win by more than 6 points to win your bet. If
the spread you bet is +6 you can not lose by more than 5.
In this case if the -6 team wins by 6 all bets are cancelled,
all monies are refunded and you will not be charged any service
fee.
3 Total points
When wagering on the total points of a game it's almost always
going to be -105 for the service fee only at Bet Trojan as
apposed to the -110 everywhere else. The wagering on total
points is very simple. You bet the total combined points of
a game will go over or under a specified number. E.g. if you
bet a game to go over 32 points, you will risk $105 to win
100 that the total points scored in the game will be more
than 32. If the final score totals 32 your wager will be a
push or no action, you will not be charged a service fee and
all monies will be refunded back to your account.
When betting a parlay it is the same as betting 2 or more
straight bets with a MUCH bigger reward. You can put from
2 bets up to 8 bets into one combined wager called a parlay.
When playing a parlay you can not lose a single straight wager
in order to win your parlay. If you have a 2 bet or "2
team" parlay and bet $100 we will pay you $260 if you
win both of your straight bets. If you lose one bet ever in
a parlay you will lose the amount bet. If you have a parlay
with a wager that pushes or is cancelled we will reduce the
number of teams in that parlay and pay accordingly. E.g. a
6 team parlay with 1 bet push and 1 game cancelled you will
then have a 4 team parlay, a $100 parlay will pay you $1,000.
If you have an 8 team parlay for $100 and win all 8 bets,
we will pay you $10,000. It's A LOT more probable than winning
the lottery and your skill can be more of a factor than random
numbers.
